Nutella Recipes

Thanks to World Nutella Day, I’ve been inspired to eat more Nutella… which might not be a good thing, except that it has inspired me to come up with some really good recipes that give me my Nutella fix while helping me stick to my goals.

Nutell-oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, not instant
  • 1 cup water (I use slightly less than a full cup because I like my oatmeal thick
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella

Stir the oats and water together in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes.  Remove from the microwave and immediately stir in the Nutella.  It makes a great, slightly sweet breakfast that is filling and good for cold mornings.  Makes 1 serving, 5 points per serving.

Tonight I was craving ice cream and we had none, so I made my own take on it.

Nutella Creme

  • 1/2 cup Cool Whip Free
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella

You have two options here.  If you stir the two together and then put it in the freezer for a few hours, you get a great creamy frozen treat.  If you’re too impatient to wait and, like me, you already store your Cool Whip in the freezer, you can just spoon the Nutella directly on top of the frozen Cool Whip and eat it like a hot fudge sundae.  Either way, the taste is amazing.  1 serving, 4 points per serving.
