Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwichessource

Thanks to several online recommendations and a sale at the grocery store, I decided to go ahead and try these Breyers ice cream sandwiches.  I’m a big fan of cookie ice cream sandwiches, so I was excited to try these.

The box comes with six oval sandwiches and, yes, they’re small.  The stats look pretty good though, with each sandwich offering up 160 calories, 4g fat, 1g fiber, 15g sugar, and 3g protein.  (3 WW points)  They’re about the size of the palm of my hand, and they have a lot of ice cream inside.

When I bit into it, I was surprised (and a little disappointed) to find that the cookie part is thin and crunchy.  I like my cookies chewy, so it was a little bit of a negative for me.  The taste is good though, not too sweet and no weird “fake” taste either.  If you’re really into ice cream cookie sandwiches, this is probably a pretty good option.  I don’t think I’ll be buying them again though.  Even on sale, they’re a little expensive, and they just don’t quite satisfy me.  I think I’d rather make my own cookies and skip the ice cream all together.

  2. I’m curious to know how many grams of sugar per serving? And what are the first five ingredients?

  3. I’m with you, I like my cookies chewy.
