Fitness Friday: Determination

Fitness FridayWelcome to another Fitness Friday!  First of all, I’m really glad the weekend is finally here.  I may stay home, but I still look forward to the weekends as much as everyone else.  It means time with my family, a chance to get out of the house, and a break from the normal routine.  It also means a break for my awesome husband, who has been working too hard at his job lately.

In case you are (shockingly) not following every day of my month long Jillian obsession, here’s what this week looked like for me:

Saturday – Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism
Sunday – DAY OFF
Monday – 30 Day Shred: Level 2 & 30 Day Shred: Level 1
Tuesday – Quick Trouble Zones
Wednesday – Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism
Thursday – Quick Trouble Zones & 30 Day Shred: Level 2
Friday – No More Trouble Zones & 30 Day Shred: Level 2 (should have been Shred 1, but I forgot to double check the schedule…)

I’m almost done.  I have three days left of the program, which means my last day will be on Monday.

Saturday – Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism & Quick Trouble Zones
Sunday – 30 Day Shred: Level 2 & 30 Day Shred: Level 1
Monday – No More Trouble Zones

The only really bad day was Wednesday.  I really, really hate the Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout.  I haven’t managed to do it even once without feeling sort of gross at some point in the workout, and I’ve gotten a stitch in my side every time I’ve done it.  So I am DREADING tomorrow…

But… I’m doing it!  I seriously considered skipping the Shred workout today since I’d already done Trouble Zones and gone for a brisk walk this morning.  I think it would have been totally fair for me to skip in terms of fitness and health, but it was about more than that.  I made the commitment to myself and to all of you to finish this Slimdown challenge.  In the end, it was sheer determination to finish what I started that got me off of the couch and back in front of the DVD player.

And I was glad I did.  It wasn’t easy, but it was easier than I thought it would be.  More importantly, I was so proud when I finished.  I worked HARD today.  I can’t wait to be done and take my final measurements/pics!

Another plea for Mamavation support: if you have just a minute, will you head over to this post and show your support?  Let her know if I’ve done something to inspire you, to help you, to make a difference.  Tell her if you think I’m awesome, silly, funny… just head over and leave some thoughts letting her know you’re behind me on this?  It would sure mean a lot.
